ORGANIZATIONS REPRESENTING MILLIONS OF AMERICANS OPPOSE FALSE PROMISE AND PHONY SOLUTION OFFERED UP BY TANCREDO/SCHULER BILL

 

Today, hundreds of organizations representing millions of Americans sent a letter to Members of Congress opposing bill H.R. 4088/S.2368 introduced by U.S. Representatives Tom Tancredo (R-CO) and Heath Schuler (D-NC), as well as U.S. Senators Mark Pryor (D-AR) and Mary Landrieu (D-LA). The legislation called "The Secure America through Verification and Enforcement Act," offers a false promise to the American people and will not solve the issue of undocumented immigration.  The national and state organizations include immigrant advocacy, grassroots, religious and labor organizations across the United States. BIPARTISAN COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM BILL INTRODUCED IN THE SENATE

On May 17, 2007, in Washington D.C., The Secure Borders, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Reform Act of 2007 was introduced in the U.S. Congress.  This bill was introduced by a bi-partisan group of Senators.  Present where Senators Saxby Chambliss, (R-GA), Lindsey Graham (R-SC),  Edward Kennedy (D-MA),  John Kyl (R-AZ), Mel Martinez (R-FL) and Arlen Specter (R-PA).  For more information, Click Here.

BIPARTISAN COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM BILL INTRODUCED IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
